“If a book is well written I always find it too short.” - Jane Austen
What many years of writing ad campaigns didn't open my eyes to, winning a short story contest did. One night I wrote a short story
for a Harlequin Passions nationwide contest for a lark. The story went on to win the contest and made me the first Indian
Mills & Boon author. ‘The Love Asana’ went on to become extremely popular both in India and South Africa where it was released.
So much so they’ve now taken it global and the book is being translated into many languages. The happiest part of the experience
was that it helped me discover how very good it feels to write. I’m grateful now to be able to juggle doing two of the things
I love to do best. By day I enjoy helping build brands and creating memorable advertising. Come midnight, I put it aside and
have fun writing fiction.
I believe nobody ever picks up a book looking to get bored. When I write, I try simply to write the best I can.
Sometimes I have good luck and do better than that!
